” The Moon ” は日本のデザイン事務所 NOSIGNER (ノザイナー) によるLEDライト。今も月面にある月周回衛星「かぐや」の観測データをもとに造形されています。デザイナーいわく、The Moon は今年の3月19日、地球に最接近して大きく明るく見えたスーパームーンを再現したもの。災害で「停電した日本」を照らした希望の月という解説です。The Moon は6月24日から27日に米ロサンゼルスで開催されたエキシビジョン dwell on design で展示されたもので、残念ながら製品としては (今のところ) 購入できません。反射ではなくみずから、しかも内側から発光する月も考えて見れば不気味ですが、「機械が詰まったまがい物の月萌え」の人にはピンポイントかもしれません。
